CAITLIN MARWAHA | PERSONAL BRAND CAMPAIGN

No one EVER predicted this partnership. Caitlin Marwaha, a personal stylist, colour consultant and the founder of one of the largest style memberships in Australia, and me, unaware that “stylist” was even a thing, and the hardest decision I have to make when I get dressed is figuring out what hat I’m going to wear.

It all began at an event where I was filming and Caitlin was speaking, a few cocktails and many curious questions about fashion from me later, we started working together – we both had no idea if this would work out.

However, this chance encounter quickly evolved into one of my most creatively rewarding partnerships. Caitlin, with her deep fashion industry expertise, and myself, with endless curiosity and visual storytelling background, discovered that our contrasting perspectives created something magical – and above all else, we have an insane amount of fun together, which translates so well through visuals. Most of the time it’s Caitlin laughing at something stupid I’ve said – like the mule incident [see below].

We've now worked on major campaigns together, like the “Find Your Best” campaign, as well as regular content capture sessions created for her membership – which just quietly, is the nicest corner of the internet. I’ve learnt a lot from Caitlin – yeah a bit about fashion and styling, sure – but a lot more about how her goal is actually to help women feel more confident. The clothes are just the vehicle to help that happen. It’s been quite a beautiful thing witnessing the real change she has helped create with her members.

She’s a whip smart business owner, but more importantly, she actually gives a shit about how her business and platform can help make a difference. I consider myself pretty damn lucky to work with her, but also be able to call her a good friend.

Our partnership proves that creative magic often happens at the intersection of different worlds. Two very different peas can create an extraordinary pod, and a hilarious one at that.

Oh, and there’s also a huge amount of love for the ever so handsome, Oscar, her golden retriever. It’s no secret, dogs are a constant theme with me.

I like to think we are a good influence on each other as well. Caitlin has helped me own my personal style and I helped her get back into running - we both ran at the 2XU Wellness Run, supporting Beyond Blue and raised $5500.
