PINCH STUDIOS | RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN
This was such a unique approach to a video led campaign. The hero video was actually a recruitment tool. It wasn’t made for people scrolling through social media content, it was produced to help recruit the RIGHT kind of person to fit in at PINCH Studios - a bold investment into a video led campaign for founder, Nat, and oooooh, was I was here for it!
BOLD was the key word for me in this campaign, and their brand colours scream bold - which is why we decided to paint half the set in that burnt orange colour, and the other half in that deep green. We knew it would stand out from the thousands of marketing jobs being advertised. No one else was putting this amount of effort and investment into a marketing job ad.
But why was Nat playing two roles? Well, she was looking for someone who approached things similarly to her, and who could grow with the business – she essentially needed a mirror image of herself.
In addition to the recruitment ad, we also produced a sales/brand video to help bolster the main video and draw people’s attention to Pinch Studios (not just the job ad). So we wanted that video to lean into a behind the scenes/peel back the curtain type of feel, so that people could get a sense of what PINCH Studios was about, and why they would swing for the fences with a recruitment video. PINCH don’t just walk the walk, they talk to the talk – winky face.
I love working with purpose-driven people and businesses, and the more I get to know Nat at Pinch Studios, the more I realise she genuinely wants to help others succeed. She invests in herself and her business so that she can put herself in a position to help others. She had full trust in my colourful creative direction, and it clearly worked when she had hundreds of applications for the job. You might even say, she had her own “pinch me” moment.
